MNDR was in studio with John Schaefer at WNYC this past Friday, December 17th. As part of the Soundcheck program, she performed a few songs live in studio and talked about collaborating with Mark Ronson, the writing process, and her various successes of the past year.

Shazam, the seemingly-magical iPhone app that can listen to music and tell you the artist, song, and album, also has powers to predict the future.  Based on the music Shazam users have been tagging, the company predicts what’s going to be big in the upcoming year.  Previous years have predicted current stars like Nicki Minaj and Lady Gaga and this year Shazam has picked MNDR as most likely to breakthrough in 2011.

MNDR’s Amanda Warner is making her music video debut in Mark Ronson’s first single “Bang Bang Bang”. The video was directed by Warren Fu and also features Q-Tip along with some intergalactic breakdancers and other party-goers.
