MNDR‘s track “Fade to Black” was reviewed and featured on Pitchfork.com’s Forkcast.

MNDR is a one-woman DJ/producer/electronic artist who’s recently remixed Major Lazer’s “Pon de Floor” and now is working on her debut full-length. Not sure if this cut will find its way to that release, but as catchy as this fractured electro-pop tune is, it could certainly seem to be a candidate for one of the album’s singles. Check out a few more tunes at MNDR’s MySpace.

Brooklyn Vegan reviews MNDR/Juiceboxxx Monster Island show.

MNDR (aka Amanda Warner) opened the Brooklyn show at Monster Island on Wednesday night (11/18). Shouting, singing and rapping over techno-centric beats, she showed respect to tour-mate Juiceboxxx as well as a strong influence by him. She fared better than her mentor though, who played a super-brief, possibly truncated, set of less than 20 minutes. Opening with his most well-known tune/statement of intent, “Thunder Jam #5”, Juiceboxxx positioned himself in sort of a “me against the crowd/world” way, alienating himself from the audience. It was unfortunate, because a basement show like this one could have been the ideal place to see him.

We here at WonderSound love the Juiceboxxx Thunder Jam series!

MNDR’s set at the CMJ Levi’s/Fader Fort showcase as seen by the Tastes Like Caramel blog:

MNDR has been building steam over the past couple months through her blog, MySpace, and her frequent party gigs.

Bushwick’s MNDR was a breath of fresh air in the sweaty basement of the ACE Hotel, jumping from keyboards, knob-turning, and moving the crowd with her incredibly fun and tech-no-logic set.

Keep an eye out for MNDR!

MNDR rocked this year CMJ Levi’s/FADER Fort.

Bushwick-lamping pop knob-squelcher MNDR only played second in the line-up of our daylong Levi’s®/FADER Fort celebration, but by that time it was already a sweltering sweatbox. No matter: MNDR powered through, peppering her technicolor synths and amazing warble with abstract and angular dance moves that we loved. Check out “Sparrows” in this video—it’s kind of an office favorite, but one in a series of anthems we simply can’t shut off.
