A little throwback of MNDR’s “#1 In Heaven” music video from 2012.

“#1 In Heaven”

My ode to the bourgeoisie
Say goodbye to decency
It’s the last of your sunny days
In the hills high above the bay
Oh, you better step away

Number one in heaven, with a bullet
I’ll come for you when I can
Tell them I’m smiling
Oh, won’t you
Send my greetings

Number one in heaven, with a bullet
Remember who I am
Tell them I’m smiling
Oh, won’t you
Send my greetings

#1 in heaven….

From the heart, signed in blood
The first of many merry men before the flood
Where you gonna go as the pressure breaks
To the hills, now, you can’t get away
Oh, I’ll take you all with me

Number one in heaven, with a bullet
I’ll come for you when I can
Tell them I’m smiling
Oh, won’t you
Send my greetings

Number one in heaven, with a bullet
Remember who I am
Tell them I’m smiling
Oh, won’t you
Send my greetings

Put your hands above your head
Close your eyes and count to ten
I said
Put your hands above your head right now
I said
Put your hands above your head right now

Tell them I’m smiling
Oh, won’t you
Send my greetings
Number one in heaven, with a bullet
Remember who I am
Tell them I’m smiling
Oh, won’t you
Send my greetings

Tell them I’m smiling
Oh, won’t you
Send my greetings

I’m number one in heaven
Oh, send my greetings

The new MNDR single, “#1 in Heaven” made NY Magazine’s Approval Matrix, landing distinctly on the “Brilliant” end of the spectrum. They like to think of it as “musical caffeine”.

The MNDR official music video for “#1 in Heaven” just debuted on Spin.com. The video was directed by SSION (a.k.a. Cody Critcheloe) and features an appropriate amount of political imagery for a song about heiress-turned-revolutionary Patty Hearst. You can read more about the video on Spin.com.
